There is nothing like live football and after 10 years in South East Asia I realised that weekly viewings of Match of the Day and my long distance relationship with AFC Bournemouth and Everton were no longer enough for me, I needed more. I needed to experience live football again. As I've found myself in the tiny red dot of Singapore I decided to catch a few SPL games to quench my addiction but it wasn't enough. I needed some context to get my kicks, I'm one of those guys who likes the story as much as the action. So, before every game I would research the teams, find out the stories behind the game. Now I've decided to share these stories with the rest of Singapore in a bid to restore interest in the local game. I'm fed up with meeting people who claim to be football fans yet haven't seen a live game in Singapore, people who support 'big European teams' rather than their local SPL team.

So every week I drag my wife (my photographer) down to one of the local stadiums and see what story I can discover and share with you all. If you see two nervous looking Ang Mo at the football there is a good chance it is me. Say hello if you like, it will mean a lot to me.

I've wanted to be a sports Journalist since I was very young. I went to University to study the subject and got a few articles published. My highlight is either the time I said a 16 year old Wayne Rooney wouldn't amount to anything or the three years I spent writing about concrete. But now I have a platform and a press pass!
